Why Wake Forest Customers Love DISH

Thirty minutes north of Raleigh, North Carolina, lies the suburb of Wake Forest. While not part of the Research Triangle Park which consists of Duke University in Durham, NC State University in Raleigh and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill—Wake Forest, too, has a long history of fostering quality education in the area. Which began in 1832 when the North Carolina Baptist Convention purchased 612 acres from Dr. Calvin Jones with the intent of building an institute for future Baptist ministers and laymen.

The Wake Forest Institute was a success and was named Wake Forest College in 1838. The community that flourished around the college was the foundation of what Wake Forest is today. The college was moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1956, which was the second largest city in North Carolina at the time. Fittingly, the former Wake Forest College campus is now home to the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
