"I was told many different things when I called and initially decided (after all the promises) to become a dish consumer. I'm sad to say my experience has proved NOT satisfactory. First of all I was told I would be getting a hopper and 2 Joeys, and a free subsctiption to Blockbuster. I did not yet receive the Blockbuster set up for some reason that was explained away in technical terms by my installer????? Secondly, the installer also found out for me that it would cost $X amount more monthly for each Joey...why was I not told this. Thirdly, i was informed that I would be getting a $100 sign on bonus, given website instructions as to how to receive this gift, only to discover that is an outright lie. So, now I am considering contacting my attorney general, dropping dish, getting my funds returned...and saying goodbye and farewell. Oh, by the way, i tried several times todayto resolve my issues about the bonus, over the chat system online...yeah, you guessed it...was finally told after the 3rd chat person, that I would have to contact idish itself and resolve this. Guess what? I tried by using the phone number your company gave me, only to discover that this other company has a tricky way to answer complaints, hey, they drop all incoming calls. I tried by calling 5 times, each time I tried a different extension, and soundly and roundly dropped. How's that for service!Sincerely meant, Anna Olsen"

"When I first tried to get service with Dish I was on the phone for over 2 hours before they could set up an account to get service at my apartment, which already had service from Dish by the last tenets. After finally figuring out how to get service to my apartment they set a date for a service man to come out to install my new dish and bring the hopper box. I took a day off work to wait around for the service man to arrive and install everything. I was supposed to get a call from a service man anywhere from 8am to 12pm. At noon I finally called Dish customer support to figure out what went wrong and the Dish employee said I never had an appointment, which is completely false because I received a confirmation e-mail about my appointment after it was made. I then had to wait four days to reschedule to get the services I had already paid for, and all they compensated me was two pay-per-veiw movies. So I wasted two days of work and pay and all I got was two movies. I was not happy."

"I just moved to the area. The installation appointment was set up quickly, the installtion itself was very quick. The tech who did the install was very friendly and helpful. The service so far has been wonderful. My last TV provider was not as helpful and the service was always going in and out. This has not been the case with Dish. I am very happy with the service and the people of Dish."
