"The installer was a very polite and pleasant fellow. He worked hard all day...up and down the ladder and my stairs trying to install in my new construction town home internet and tv. Unfortunately, there was defective equipment or something and he had to come back the next day for a couple of hours. "This is my first experience w/a dish network and so far it is a great experience. The installers were attentive to my requests and concerns while here and they assured me that if there is a problem to call them...so a friend of mine stayed at my house and managed to do something to lose the service. She called and they walked her thru getting it back up and running. I am enjoying the broad selections of channels and movies. "I called to set up my Dish services and was pleased with the representative, at the time. The representative told me I would not be set for automatic withdrawal and they automatically withdrew my money 2 weeks before the installer even came to set up my receiver. He told me my appointment time was from 8-12, it was really 12-5. The installer called twice to tell me he was going to be late, so after waiting from 8-12 he wasn't going to be there until closer to 3. When I called Dish to complain the first time and try to change my service day, the man on the phone was not very helpful. Only when I called to cancel my services were they trying to offer a $15 (what good will that do?). I will never recommend Dish or use them again. "

"Can't believe how much clearer the picture is with satellite as compared to cable on the same TV! "I am very dissatisfied with the bate and switch I appeared to have gotten from Dish. My husband and I live in different cities and signed up at the same time for the "Dish Package". We were lead to believe that we were getting Dish, phone and internet in that "package". My husband was the first to receive service and the first to learn phone and internet were not included. After speaking to several representatives, I was told that some would get back with me on Friday to see whether is was possible to reduce my Dish options and/or get out of the contract with Dish. That was last Friday and I have received no correspondence. I also found at this time, was was in a 24 month contract which was not disclosed when we set up service."

"We just signed up for Dish a couple of weeks ago. The installation fast and friendly and we were up and running the day after I placed the order. I got a package that includes 3 months of Blockbuster @home, but found that my receiver doesn't come with a wireless network card built in. I called and found that I could purchase one separately for $25, which I will need to do if I want to use my On Demand feature or Blockbuster @home. This was disappointing since the great deal that prompted me to call in the first place had already ended up costing me far more than anticipated with an additional charge here and there, my initial outlay for the $24.99 per month deal was nearly $80 for the first month. Sure, there was a $15 rebate available if I signed up on line, but my excitement at ordering the service was slightly soured by the dent it left in my pocket."

"I have enjoyed being a DISH customer for the last few weeks. I haven't experienced any problems with the connection, even when storms come through. I originally chose DISH because of the low price and excellent customer service, and this still holds true. The rep who came to install the satellite dish and hook up the tv's did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone. His name is Justin. The only issue I foresee is that I had to sign up with a 2 year contract to receive the 12 month promotion for a discount on the monthly cost. I am hoping there may be a similar promotion after the 1st 12 months which will allow me to pay the same amount of money throughout. "
