"In reality, I subscribe because of a bet I lost with my son involving his grades, but from the perspective of a client that refused cable or antena for about three years, is not overall to bad price wise, the channels I like as with cable are conjoint with other shoping, weather, infomercial channels that just ocupy space as far as I am concerned, the On Demand service could easily copy the vudu/amazon approach and even offer taht on the net as an additional source of income for dish... with offers as in (reward points) for loyal costumers, thats something I will probably buy into, since why will I bother figuring out the on demand feature with easier approaches on the market. "

"Overall channel selection could be better. The on demand feature is not easy to navigate. The DVR is like recording TV from the 90s--you can't record one program while you watch another. Bottom line: cheaper than my old cable company, cost does not fluctuate, programming is not terrible, get more HD than cable, and have more rooms hooked up for $40 less each month!"
