"The price of cable and cable Internet kept going up. I locked into a 2 year contract with one year price lock. The value compared to the channels you get for the price on cable is great! The hopper DVD with sling is awesome, no setup to mess with, just connect it to you home Internet connction and setup you mydish account. I was skepticle about the signal in the ohio snow and airplane overheard but I've had very few times where I picture breakup and that was a big storm! Great service so far, would recommend. Cory"

"As for my Dish service, I am completely satified but would like AMC offered as a channel.The picture quality would be better with a HD Box so I plan to upgrade in the future. One thing, though, I get a message every 2hrs or so saying to hit cancel or no due to receiver inactivity. This is extremely irritating. If in bed, I gotta find remote when I am comfortable and don't really feel like it. Installation gets a 10, our installer kept me informed as to when he was arriving, worked professionally and seemed quite knowledgeable. Finally, The 1 thing I would rate extremely low, I called customer service in regards to a $50 visa card I was to get for signing up.She did not seem to want to take care of this unless I would find her someone new to sign up. That wasn't the deal. My e-mail said I would receive it for starting new service. I did my part, balls in your court now. AND I will tell this to anyone thinking of signing up and receiving a reward for doing so. At the end of my phone call she said that it was in mail! I think she told me this to get rid of me. But she wanted a five star rating after call. Yeah, right, after I get my card. Which of course, for being in the mail, it still hasn't arrived. Guess I was lied to and gotta call and go through this yet again. Very irritating,shouldn't have to do this,that card should come automatically,it was offered and should not have to call and ask for it then get a reply like she doesn't know what I am talking about. Come on, DISHNETWORK, I think you are a big enough company to honor your promotions!!!"

"The picture & sound is so much better. The price is way less than I was paying for cable. My kids are really happy now also. My son didn't have cable in his room & though my daughter had cable she did not have DVR. The DVR skip button has made me the happiest. I love being able to skip the commercials. I also love how fast the fast forward button goes. To sum it up I can only saw NA NA NA, NA NA NA, HEY A GOODBYE TIME WARNER CABLE FOREVER!"
