"I've had dish network for a couple of weeks and it seems ok. A lot of the channels are duplicated and we have had some weather related issues. I really hate the pop.up that tries to turn off the receiver after a couple of hours of viewing. We watch the same channel for a few hours and the message will pop up it gets annoying. Other than that the service is fine."

"The deal I was quoted was good; the phone call took far too long - over 41 minutes; I ended up with a "Techzilla" product I didn't understand I would be charged for, and in calling that company it took over 17 minutes and repeated times of saying "NO I don't want this service please cancel it", being put on hold several times, asked for too much personal info in order to "locate my account", etc... and still not 100% sure they won't charge my card again. I would not go this route again. "

"My family only became dish recently but so far have been extremely happy! All the little extras, like the app center or dish mobile are wonderful!! Especially with a little 6 year old that loves to watch movies:) to my soon to be husband who is in the army and sometimes works overnight and just to help pass time watches movies when he can. And a great big thank you to the people in customer service!! I was on the phone for almost 2 hours getting set up but Alison was very polite and fabulous!!! "We switched from cable 2 weeks ago because cable costs kept going up, up, up. Also, since this is a part time house, we were paying for the service without being in the house. Dish has a vacation suspension plan that saves me hundreds$$ each year. The install went smoothly and the installer was very friendly and professional. He even came back in a few days to set up an additional tv I had moved. The HD broadcasts are as clear and crisp as the cable was, and I have not had a problem with reception during stormy weather. Happy so far!"

"I loved the installation, the customer service, the channel selections, the dual tv on one box, the ability of the dvr functions..... the main thing that is bugging me is your jumbled mess of an on demand feature. You really need to work on a much easier to guide dvr. when I had charter or have used other services like comcast/uverse/and atlantic broadband, their on demand was very easy to guide through. Much easier to read, pretty much self explanatory. If you created a better facade/userbility on this one function you will get a much better response from all users. 5stars is that was fixed"

"We made the switch from Directv a few weeks ago... The initial install was a temporary fix. They came back the next week and fixed one dish. He said someone else would be out that day to fix the other dish.. never showed! Also, I was told with the Hopper system we would all be able to watch TV at the same time.. when the installers were there they said only 3 tv's were able to watch live tv at once. This is not what I was told when they sold me on the package... Very aggravating!"
