"Why would anyone wait to switch to Dish, and recieve more high quality HD programming for, in my case, about 1/3 the price? When i consider the increased channel lineup, the improved quality of the HD channels over the compressed HD i viewed over cable, and the $1600+ I will save the first year, I nearly feel like i have discovered fire! "I love just about everything dish has to offer. Great prices,wwonderful customer service and the hopper is nice. The only thing I haven't loved is that I have 4 rooms set up for cable. But if you are in that fourth room and want to watch TV you only have the option to join someone else's programming or watch the dvr. And if someone is recording a show there can only be live TV in two rooms. That's the only reason I cannot give 5 stars. Otherwise we are very happy :) "

"I moved to a different area and decided to go with the small local TV company, you know, to go with the local economy. We were so frustrated with either no signal, scrambled screen, no sound, sometimes nothing at all. I've got to tell you, we're so happy to have you back ! The only gripe I have is that note that comes up to ask if you want to stay on "this channel". That irritates me no end. As if I didn't know if I wanted to watch one channel all day!!! "

"I cancelled my Directv, I told Dish that i used a extra reciever in my motorhome when i traveled, dish told me no i didn't need an extra reciever just take the one from our bedroom with us when we traveled in our Motorhome. Well after the system was installed i find out i can't do that because the joey can't work alone without the Hopper. So i called Dish they tell me thats how it works and i needed to buy an additional receiver for $149.00. Well after talking it over and me being upset, we settled on $49.00 for the additional receiver. I'm not really happy with what i was told after i had the instalation done."

"I've had Comcast for years and got tired of paying SOOOO much for tv! I finally had to find something "cheaper" because of unforseen medical bills and being on a fixed income. I called "the other guys", let's say I DON'T recommend them! So I was cautious about calling Dish, thinking I was going to be treated the same way, hustled into something I didn't want and couldn't afford. But I was wrong on that one! The reps on the phone and the techs that have come out to install and to fix a glitch with the wiring, (which they did for FREE! Comcast wouldn't do that for free!), were just great! They were nice, they explained things to me, even if I asked 15 times about the same thing! I have short and long term memory lose and I forget to write things down so I have to keep asking until I remember to write it down! LOL! Anyway, I am very very happy with my new service, it is about 1/3 the price of my old service and I am very pleased and surprised at the amount of channels that I get on this package. I may move up in a year or so, when finances get better, to the 200 channel package so I can have Bio, that's the only channel I don't have that I wish was in this lineup, but it gives me something to look forward to! Thank you Dish, I didn't make a mistake this time!"

"Service so far has been poor. I no longer have connectivity in 2 out of three tv's just 12 hours after install and have had to reboot the 3rd tv once. If my connectivity can't be fixed and service become reliable I will switch back to cable."

"We are waiting for a new remote to be sent, apparently it was a defective remote. For new service we weren't very happy about that. They also put the wrong receiver in the children's bedroom for recording purposes and it should have been in the living room. So thus far, we haven't been extremely thrilled."

"Long story short, the Dish representative lied to me saying that I was getting a "bundled" package with Century Link internet which doesn't exist. He said my total bill for both internet and Dish TV would be 40.99 which was also a lie - my internet and Dish bill will total more than double that amount. The Dish rep. also said that there was no contract for six months. The installers asked my husband to initial on their tablet saying it was simply to verify that they were there and installed our service. Now Dish is saying that was a signature for a 2 year agreement. Needless to say, I'm very unhappy with the dishonest and deceptive business conduct of Dish and it's representatives. I will be reporting Dish TV to the Better Business Bureau. "

"Well the fella that came out took way too long. (6 hours) He didn't want to get in the attic because it was a 90 degree day and so he attempted to short cut the process by taking the existing line for the frontier service and hooking it to the dish service. While I am getting tv service from dish I am continuing to use frontier for my internet and home phone. After disconnecting the cable from my frontier line and using it for the service dish was to provide he informed me I would be without internet and phone until I had frontier come out and install a cable for their service. Honestly this upset me I was thankful I was paying attention to what he was doing because otherwise I may have encountered additional service charges getting my frontier internet and phone reconnected and gone without service for internet and phone for a period of time. I stopped refilling his ice tea and was thankful when he left as I felt he was acting shady. ps the line I currently have is a mess running up the corner of the garage wall along side the dryer and I am not happy with the end result. I have not had time to really evaluate the programming and service as of yet."

"We had never experienced DVR until now and it is absolutely incredible. We love this feature and it is free. We also got free HD and we love it to, you can actually see the difference. We never really wanted to get DishTV but it really is great and they included so many great features. We got a package and they gave us 2 additional discounts which saves us $15 but even in a year when the price goes up I don't think we are going to mind because we got so many free features, it was really worth getting Dish. "
