"Dish customer service has been great because they were consistent, courteous and accurate in their planning and installation. With concern about changing our internet and telephone as well, Dish was flawless in coordinating and installing. Wow what a great installer. He actually cared that we understood the new remote and how to use it to record events. He showed us how to use the Hopper and the Joey and gave us information regarding how we could resolve any concerns or issues after he left. We were given names and numbers to call. This is not how our past experience has been with other providers. How do we feel? On a scale of 1-10 Dish rates an 11. Thanks, Dish and picture quality that is terrific also. Kent and Sharon"

"Here is the thing. I have not been a dish subscriber for long. Here is what i have to say after two weeks of service. The hd quality is very good. I did have a service call after the first week and our turned out the hardware was faulty, which happens and i can't complain about as it was fixed promptly and without charge. They have sent me free ppv tickets without cause just for being a dish customer which i think its awesome as my prior service provider never did anything of the sort. To date the switch has been nothing but positive and i would recommend dish over and over again. As an armed services member, they have made our experience easy and painless. Thank you dish."

"I was pleased with the service until the installer showed up. It was not his fault, but apparently there was a mis communication between the retailer we called and dish. We thought we called dish directly and later learned it was a retailer. Services and items promised were not on the order. Our installer also was not told to bring an extended ladder for a 3 story home as we made it clear when we ordered the installer would need one. We called to clarify the situation when the installer explained and had to go through 3 different associates who continued to tell us that the offer we were offered did not exist but they had this offer available. All 3 had different offers as well. Finally, the following day a manager called us back and explained what happened and told us to call the retailer. I will know of the issue has been resolved once we receive our first bill. "

"After doubting between Charter, Direct TV and Dish, we chose for Dish. Charter was too expensive and their CS did a really bad job when I moved in to my girlfriend place. Direct TV had too many bad reviews, and too many add-ons. So there was 1 more option. Installation was done in 1 hour and 10 minutes by very friendly knowledgeable guy (forgot his name). Big dish antenna in back might be a view problem for some people, but in our case it is covered by a gazebo :-) Offer of programs, ease of use and quality of (HD) programs is fantastic. So far, I am a happy camper... "

We'd heard some negatives about satellite service and I now think they must have been exaggerations.
