"Dear Dish, I'm a brand new customer of Dish Network, having had DirectTV for 3 years. The cost at Dish is significantly less than DirectTV! I had this installed this morning - so I obviously haven't had much time to work with it. The only thing I notice is that the Search on DTV appears to be better than Dish - but that could change once I get to know the system. Eric, the young man who did my installation was thorough, organized, methodical and friendly. He did a good job of explaining all the Dish components and features. Check back with me in 3 months - I'll probably have changed my mind by then. ;) Overall...good job Dish!"

"This is the first time I've had dish, and compared to digital cable, I LOVE it! The system is very user-friendly and I love all of the options like PrimeTime on Demand, and how the Hopper skips through commercials on recorded shows. It's awesome! "Sign up was easy, some discrepencies with what was ordered however some mauy be to different promotions. Installation was quick since the house was wired for cable / satellite. Still wondering why installer did not use the existing antenna mast that was for a larger satellite dish, now removed. Over all a good process so far. Service seems to be working well."

"Switched to to Dish from Cox Cable in Phoenix and am completely satisfied. The Hopper and 2 Joeys work great. The interface is intuitive and quick. Channels tune in nearly as fast as the venerable Scientific Atlanta boxes. The ability to access any recorded show from any room is huge--no need to program multiple DVRs for each room. I like the customizable DVR interface to make finding channels and recorded shows easy. The picture is great--better than Cox cable in my opinion."

"Installation was easy and quick. Friendly guy who knew what he was doing. Helped guide me through the channels and kids were watching that night. Price was right too. Just wish they didn't put in all the add ons and then require you to pull them in 3 months or you get charged (extra movie channels, blockbuster or even tech support). This should go away if you don't renew!"

"This is my second account on my Dish system. It is in a home we had not occupied until recently. After more than 10 years with DISH, I just could not imagine being without DISH. To my great surprise this new home was not properly wired in advance for a system. That made no difference to your technician, he found a way to do it without the clumsy wire all around and we added the hopper. How did I ever get along without a Hopper? So, new home, new Hopper, outstanding on time service, you could not have made it any better. Thanks DISH!"

"The installer was great. I had ideas but after I saw what he had in mind....I was happy he did it his way. The knock off the 5 star is the costs. Installation, connection, fees, and costs should have been reduced or dismissed, and the amount of commercials on all the channels we agreed to is outrageous. Ruth Key is who wanted it and paid for it as a renter in my home. She complained there is nothing to watch during the night but a bunch of garbage and would rather turn it off and watch DVDs from Redbox instead. This is not the first time I have heard of complaints about Dish and their poor quality selection of channels for the lower budget family channel selection."

"The movie channels are great! However the availability to get high definition sports channels sucks. We had to watch the world series without high definition & the picture quality was very poor. We've also had to watch NFL games without high definition & the quality was extremely poor. I don't think that you should sell the game rights to a local provider if they are not going to broadcast in High Definition."
