Are you a fan of TLC’s What Not to Wear? If you’re not already a regular watcher, be sure to check it out and in no time you will be.

The program (which airs on Friday evenings at assorted times from 6 p.m. until midnight) offers an endless array of fun and realistic fashion tips from style gurus Stacy London and Clinton Kelly.

One aspect of the program that may be out of line with most people’s real-life budgets is the 5k credit card bestowed upon the show’s participants. Most of us could easily take the fashionistas’ advice and update our wardrobes with $500 (or less) via a trip to any one of the assorted budget-conscious retailers.

There’s no reason to let your attire become worn out or outdated. You can dress up without wearing down your finances; just pay attention to the terrific ideas from TLC’s stylish team and take that inspiration to your favorite, affordable stores.
