Tiger Woods - The Masters Golf Tournament Is Underway
The return of Tiger Woods to golf at this week’s Masters major golf tournament is huge for him, for fans, for the other golfers, and in general for the sport of golf.
A few weeks ago Tiger Woods announced that he would make his return to professional golf at the Masters golf tournament, which is the first major PGA tournament of the year, and the first major that Tiger won in his professional career. Wanna guess which golf tournament got underway yesterday in Augusta, Georgia?
Expect this to be the most watched golf tournament in history, and if Tiger makes the cut and is in the hunt this weekend, you can pretty much forget that “honey-do” list until the following weekend. That’s right, the return of Tiger Woods to the PGA Tour is huge on so many levels. He’s the game’s most well known player and fans are ready to watch him for the first time since late last year when he invoked a self-imposed hiatus from the sport to deal with his crumbling personal life. Currently Woods is still 2 strokes away from the lead as he makes the turn in the second round of the Masters.
Win, lose, or draw – cheered or jeered – one thing is certain: this is the most exciting golf tournament in recent memory, and it's underway on ESPN today, and then will be over on CBS Sports for the two weekend rounds on April 10th and 11th.
Catch all the exciting action, and follow Tiger through the entire tournament, with premium satellite television service from DISH Network.
