Oh Yes Ohno! US Speed Skater Apollo Ohno Wins World Cup Short Track 1000
Another speed skating victory for Apollo? Oh yes, Ohno did it again. Taking gold in the short track 1,000 at yesterday’s World Cup, the U.S. speed skating king is assured of a spot on the American team for the upcoming Olympic winter games.
Sunday November 16 was the final day to qualify for the Olympic team. Ohno beat out South Korea’s Lee Jung-su in the World cup final, telling reporters that he’s excited about training during the next few months leading to the Olympic Games.
