Nineteen and starting - New USC quarterback
Nineteen-year-old Matt Barkley will be the starting quarterback this season for the USC Trojans.
Me? I'd crack under the pressure alone. At nineteen, I hadn't left home, landed a real job, or climbed out of bed before noon most days that year. I was holding out for bigger things. To be fair, however, he didn't luck into it. Barkley was the top football recruit out of high school last year, and colleges everywhere were hot on his trail.
Just thinking about this kid's gusto is wearing me out. Think I'll take a nap and dream about big things. It isn't quite noon yet anyway.
