Washington Redskins owner, Daniel Snyder, really only has himself to blame for the current state of affairs with his team. That is to say, they suck and he’s mostly the reason why. Fortunately, Snyder just pulled the trigger on the best move he’s ever made as an owner.
Mike Shanahan, summarily dismissed from the Denver Broncos a couple of seasons ago, is arguably one of the best coaches not coaching in the NFL. Alongside former Colts coach, Tony Dungy, and former Steelers coach, Bill Cowher, Mike Shanahan is at the top of every short list in the NFL. Today he’s off the short list and in the catbird seat in the nation’s capital. I think the Washington Redskins just got a whole lot better, and the landscape of the NFC East Division, which includes the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants, just got a whole lot more interesting.

Actress Brittany Murphy has died at the young age of 32. There has been speculation that Murphy, known for her roles as the punk-gone-popular girl in Clueless and with Eminem in 8 Mile, died of cardiac arrest, but it has not been confirmed by the L.A. Coroner.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said a 911 call was made at 8:00 a.m. from the Los Angeles home of Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center.
Brittany Murphy was born in Atlanta and started acting at age 9, and by age 13, she had signed with a manager and began appearing in television commercials. From there, she starred in a few TV shows including "Murphy Brown" and "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" which led to her breakthrough film, Clueless, with Alicia Silverstone. She went on to appear in other movies and did voice work for animated programs such as 'King of the Hill' (she was the voice of Luanne Platter). You catch entertaining reruns of her episodes on DISH Network TV.
"Today the world lost a little piece of sunshine" as quoted by Ashton Kutcher, who Murphy dated back in 2002. May she rest in peace.
Former teen pop idol, Donny Osmond, danced to the winning spot on season nine of the popular program, 'Dancing with the Stars.'
A member of the famously wholesome Utah singing family, Donny Osmond is no stranger to fame. He performed as a little kid with the Osmond Brothers. Eventually the band of brothers received a little sister and in the 70's Donny and Marie teamed up on their own TV variety show. You can always find a great variety of entertainment and fun reality shows on DISH Network channels!
Utah radio stations have suggested that Donny's recent win on DWTS has stirred up a bit of sibling jealousy from baby sis Marie (she was voted off the program in a previous season).
Donny took the title by beating out some talented competition; Singer Mya and Kelly Osbourne (daughter of famed rocker Ozzy) consistently received high marks from judges and call-in viewing voters.
Being a little bit rock n' roll apparently gave Mr. Osmond that competitive edge. Good job, Donny!

So here’s the deal with Iron Man 2, the much anticipated sequel to the smash hit, Iron Man. Terrance Howard, who played James “Rhodey” Rhodes in the first Iron Man, was the highest paid actor in the first film, and apparently his contract was fairly well written. When the producers of the sequel approached Howard’s representation seeking a scaled back salary for the sequel, they balked. I’m not sure what the new numbers were, but I can’t imagine they were asking Howard to go from hero to zero.
Enter the new “Rhodey” Rhodes for the sequel, the highly skilled Don Cheadle, who I think is a natch for the role. Dude is a skilled action actor who's pretty much perfect for the role. He only had a couple of hours to decide if he wanted the role or not, but I doubt it took him more than a moment to realize what he was being offered. Cheadle’s gain is our gain, so expect another smash hit when Iron Man 2 hits theater in early May.
