Kate Winslet And Sam Mendes Headed For Divorce
Have you seen the recent DISH Network Specials? If you have a satellite package from DISH you may have caught the latest in Hollywood's celebrity breakups/divorces-on-the-way. Kate Winslet, a phenomenal actress, has been nominated for five Academy Awards and won her first Oscar last year for her movie, The Reader. Sam Mendes, her soon-to-be-ex, won an Oscar for his movie, American Beauty.
This will be Winslet's second divorce. The couple has claimed that this is an amicable divorce, and they have both committed to joint parenting of their children.
It's very rare to see a celebrity relationship last. There are only a very few Hollywood couples still together these days. Many stars go through relationship after relationship. Perhaps Will Smith and Jada Pinket-Smith will share their secrets on a successful marriage between celebrities in a new book.
For now, you can see more celebrities, their relationship news and their work on DISH Network.
St. Patty's Weekend Entertainment
St. Patrick's Day may be over but that doesn't mean you can't still get in on some Irish fun! Here are some suggestions for movies to watch and music to turn on while you continue to drink that green beer this weekend.
Boondock Saints is a great movie to sit down to. The MacManus brothers take justice into their own hands in a vigilante way. Sean Patrick Flannery and Norman Reedus play the Irish brothers in this action-packed, shooting, and great one-liners humor of a movie. Boondock Saints II was released as well for double the dosage.
When it comes to music, the Irish have brought forth some great bands. U2 have a plethora of albums that will keep you entertained. Their latest and greatest, No Line on the Horizon, is available for your listening pleasure, and they are now on tour for this album as well. The Corrs, a band consisting of three beautiful sisters and one brother are an extremely talented band. They have several albums with different sounds; all of which are definitely worth your listening.
Catch these goodies and more when you take advantage of one of the great DISH Network Specials!

Teen Idol Corey Haim Dies At Age 38; Another Star Taken Too Early
Celebrity Corey Haim, who had a past substance-abuse problem, has died at the early age of 38 of an accidental overdose.
He was found to be unresponsive in his apartment and later pronounced dead. His mother was with him at the time.
Haim is best known for his movies that he did back in the 80s. License to Drive was definitely one of my favorites. That smug smile of his always let you know he was up to no good. Lost Boys was one of the few good vampire movies out there. He and Corey Feldman starred in several films together.
And The Academy Award Goes To…
So for the first time in years I actually sat and watched the whole Academy Awards show last night. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin were the hosts for the show and did some pretty funny stuff (I especially liked when Steve Martin slapped Alec Baldwin while they were sleeping in the hotel, imitating a Paranormal Activity scene).
I think to many people’s surprise Avatar didn’t walk away with the award for Best Picture. Instead it went to The Hurt Locker, and the Best Director Award went to the director of The Hurt Locker, Kathryn Bigelow, the first woman to win an Academy Award.
James Taylor serenaded the crowd while a slide show ran of those that had passed on in the year 2009, and John Hughes was honored for his contribution to film making.
Sandra Bullock walked away with the Best Actress Oscar with her moving performance in The Blind Side, and Jeff Bridges walked away with the Best Actor Award for Crazy Heart.
It made for a great night for many, and I have to hand it to Ben Stiller, he did make quite the freaky looking Avatar character with Shrek ears. Don’t miss any of these stars on on of the DISH Network channels.
