2009 Emmy Awards
The 2009 Emmy Awards mark the 61st annual ceremony, which honors primetime TV productions. The Emmy Awards are to the television industry what the Academy Awards are to film, and what the Grammy Awards are to music. This year HBO took the most nominations, just one short of 100 at 99; NBC was next with 67; ABC had 55; CBS had 49; FOX had 42; Showtime had 29; AMC had 23; Comedy Central had 13; Bravo and FX had 11 each; and TNT had 10.

Entourage Season Six Premiere
Last night on HBO, the sixth season of “Entourage” premiered. It has been confirmed that Gary Cole will be a regular cast member on the series, playing Andrew Klein, a television literary agent residing in the suburbs. During season six of “Entourage,” guest appearances are scheduled to include Tom Brady, Lil’ Wayne, LeBron James, Dan Patrick, Steve Nash, Swarnendra Verma, Aaron Sorkin, Gal Gadot, Zac Efron, Jami Gertz, and more!
On the season debut episode titled “Drive,” Vince geared up for a guest appearance on Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show” to promote his latest film, “The Great Gatsby.” In this fictional movie, directed by Martin Scorsese, Vince plays the starring role in this F. Scott Fitzgerald book to movie adaptation. Vince also spent a large portion of the episode trying to get his driving license, hence the title “Drive.”

MSNBC Now Available in HD
Today, DISH Network announced that it will provide MSNBC in high definition nationwide. The satellite company will be the only pay-TV provider to offer this channel to subscribers across the U.S.
