HD Programming Makes Good Shows Great
If you've ever seen the same program on standard definition and high definition then you instantly know which one is more appealing.
We've all seen awesome HD programming. Great television shows like Planet Earth and Life are two excellent examples of what high definition means to the viewing experience. The colors are brilliant, the clarity and definition is just like real life, and overall the shows are more pleasurable for these reasons.
Football games broadcast in high definition seem to take place right in your living room. If you like watching golf on TV, then you already know you can actually see the dimples on the golf balls! At this year's Winter Olympics I felt like I was right on those mountain tops, enjoying the winter sunshine on crisp, clear days. I swear some snow actually blew into my living room when I was watching the skiers shredding the downhill course!
Get awesome DISH Network HD and let your senses experience the difference high definition television can bring into your home!
Satellite Radio Offers Awesome Entertainment For Everyone
Satellite television has many great features and services, including Video On Demand, educational channels, commercial-free movie channels, local stations, PBS, DVRs that control all of your televisions, and over 200 high definition channels with DISH Network. However, there's on feature of satellite television that goes unmentioned far too frequently, which is why I want to point out the great features of satellite radio services, which come standard with your America's Top 2000 or higher programming package from DISH Network.
Just like your premium movie channels like HBO, Showtime, Starz, and Cinemax, commercial-free broadcasts and uninterrupted programming are two of the great features of the Sirius satellite radio programming included with several DISH Network programming packages. Now, you can enjoy all your favorite genres of music, including folk music, heavy metal, bluegrass, rock, R&B, hip hop, country and western, and even techno dance music! All these and many more can be found on the nearly 60 Sirius satellite radio channels, right on your television!
Are you an Elvis fan? Then you're in luck! Channel 6013 is the Elvis channel, and when they say Elvis they mean it. All Elvis, all the time. Catch the greatest hits from the '50s, '60s, '70s, and '80s, all commercial-free and uncut for your extended listening pleasure.
Honestly, it doesn't matter how diversified your musical tastes are. Sirius satellite radio programming has it all. Fans of Bruce Springsteen can tune in to E Street Radio. Fans of the great guitarist BB King can find a channel dedicated to his music – BB King's Bluesville – on channel 6074. Whether you're into love songs, indie underground, Christian rock, gospel, opera, symphony, or red hot Latin music, DISH Network has a channel for you, commercial-free and unedited, just the way music was meant to be heard.
Satellite radio is not your father's radio. No popping and cracking, no having to tune it in, no losing it when the horizon changes, none of that. Satellite radio is crystal clear digital audio broadcast from satellites orbiting the earth, just like your satellite television signal. This ensures that the signal will be uninterrupted, easily finding your receiver without issue. The bottom line is this: the signal you receive is broadcast in crisp, clear digital audio with no static ever!
If you're tired of boring local radio, music that never seems to change, scratched and banged-up CDs, and in generally looking for something hip and new, Sirius satellite radio in select DISH Network deals is just what you've been seeking!
Get The Most High Definition Channels With DISH Network!
Just like vacuum tube televisions gave way to solid state, and black & white cathode ray tubes were replaced by color; analog TV was recently gobbled up by digital, and so too will standard definition give way to high definition programming.
I'm old enough to have grown up on vacuum-tube TVs, and to have seen the end of black & white televisions. I've seen over-the-air give way to cable, which gave way to satellite. I'm actually a living historian for the changes we've witnessed in premium home television services since the late 1960s.
The changes have been just short of miraculous, and the picture quality today is right on par with getting up and looking out the picture window in your living room. DISH Network has been a leading provider of awesome home television products and services since 1980, and continues to lead the way with awesome high definition programming.
With DISH Network HD you can get more than 200 high definition channels, which is the most in the premium home television industry. It's simple: you get more for less with DISH Network packages!
Bret Michaels is Hired
Bret Michaels beats out Holly Robinson Peete on Celebrity Apprentice.
After a stint of hospitalizations and life threatening conditions, Bret Michaels was crowned the winner on "Celebrity Apprentice" this past weekend. Michaels was up against Holly Robinson Peete who displayed major leadership ability and competition in challenging situations. He was definitely up against a good competitor.
It all came down to the last challenge where Trump required both Michaels and Peete to create a new Snapple drink. Michaels' Trop-A-Rocka Blend beat out Peete's Compassionberry Tea. Trump voiced the words "hired" to Michaels following the final challenge.
As the winner of "Celebrity Apprentice", Michaels earned $250,000 for the American Diabetes Association. Michaels was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was six-years-old after he fell ill and was in the hospital for three weeks.
The same amount was awarded to Holly Robinson Peete for her strong work ethics and prowess in the challenges she was faced with. Her $250,000 will go towards her and husband, Rodney Peete's, HollyRod Foundation which supports those suffering from autism.
If you missed out on "Celebrity Apprentice", set your DISH DVR player for the next episodes on DISH Network.
