Anyone who has paid attention to the NFL thus far, knows that the Denver Broncos are in a world of hurt right now. After trading a disgruntled Jay Cutler to the Bears a few months ago, it seems as though they have another superstar malcontent causing problems.
Star wide receiver, Brandon Marshall was suspended for the rest of the pre season for what the team has called “conduct detrimental to the team”, which means that Marshall was caught on video acting like a spoiled child during practice last week, and the Broncos coaching staff doesn’t want to put up with it anymore. All I can say is, that it's going to be a long year for any Bronco fans out there. Don't expect much, and maybe you won't be so disappointed.
Today wrapped up the 2009 Little League World Series, with the kids from Chula Vista, CA defeating the team from Chinese-Taipei.
It was a tight game the whole way through, but the pivotal moment in the game had to be the inning ending double play the short-stop from California made to help his team preserve the lead going into the final innings. It's a lot of fun to be able to catch events like this on TV!
The double play would have made any major leaguer envious. The short-stop picks up a grounder on a short hop, tags the runner advancing to third base for the first out, then has enough wherewithal to realize he still had time to get the batter at first base—and guns him down. It stopped the momentum Chinese-Taipei had and got his team out of a tough inning. Way to go Chula Vista!
How in the world can a show about absolutely nothing be so entertaining?
That was accomplished with Seinfeld. These four eccentric characters, whose lives were anything but dull, will be coming back for a reunion. Larry David, the show's head writer, and creator of HBO's 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' has been hard at work to make sure it happens.
How can you not love Kramer? The way his hair flops whenever he enters Jerry's apartment is just too funny. Who could forget Elaine's unique style of dancing? Thumbs up! Then there's Jerry with his big beady eyes and high-pitched expressions. George, need I say more? Anyone with crazy parents like that would most likely turn out as pessimistically on-edge as the little Costanza. Raise your hand if you're anxious to see this reunion!
Despite their winning Hell's Kitchen performance in this week’s creative-ingredient challenge, the boys’ blue team failed to fare so well during the dinner service.
After another extended stay in hospital, Robert returned just in time to attempt assisting his team. He fell short on the meat station, with several dishes (most notably rabbit tar tar) being returned by unsatisfied diners.
While none of the guys were stellar in the latest episode, Robert was chosen by the show's celebrated Chef Gordon Ramsey over Van and Andy (also on the chopping block) as the least likely to succeed. The big boy handed in his chef’s jacket and rolled on home.
The vampire craze continues.
Anne Rice was the first to make vampires popular. Buffy the Vampire Slayer brought vampires to a more mainstream audience. Twilight romanticized them and made every girl want to become one. True Blood delivers a taste of the supernatural to viewers on a weekly basis.
Now, 'The Vampire Diaries' is premiering. The story of the battle between a good vampire and an evil vampire, fighting for the soul of a beautiful girl, will speak to the vampire-obsessed masses.
My prediction is that this show will have an immediate following, and if they can keep the action and suspense high (a la HBO's viciously popular 'True Blood'), the program will be around for many seasons. Move over Edward, it’s time to meet the new guy in town – Stefan.
